He is the translator of Heroines of Jiangyong: Chinese Narrative Ballads in Women¿s Script and Meng Jiangnu Brings Down the Great Wall: Ten Versions of a Chinese Legend, and coauthor of The Red Brush: Writing Women of Imperial China.
