Victory Lee is a kid living in the Chinatown area of Downtown L.A. when she was accidentally kidnapped and taken to South Central in the month of April 1992. No cell phones, no CCTV, no high speed internet. This is just a day in the life of an Asian American kid who ended up hanging out with a bunch of gangsters.
Just a quick little story to find moments of comedy between the intersection of race, culture, education, immigrants, and economic inequality with the backdrop of the L.A. riots.
