Tika Davenport is a thirty-year-old woman down on her luck. With her roommate moving to a different state and her mom battling with stage four cancer, Tika found herself working at a Federal Prison in Pollock, Louisiana to make ends meet. Each time it seemed as if she was getting ahead, life pulled her back into more drama that she wasn't prepared for. Tika had it and was willing to give up when a conversation with a transferred inmate changed her perspective on what the world had to offer her. Snitches get Stiches...was the motto in the streets. Somewhere down the line, Rodney's crew didn't catch that memo. After fifty statements made against him during his trial, Rodney was sentenced to life in prison on drug charges. He accepted his faith and decided to serve his time without retaliation. Prison life wasn't a cakewalk. Rodney was constantly defending himself against new enemies that believed he was a threat to what they had already accomplished. When he thought life wasn't going to get any better, new laws passed giving him a shorter sentence. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, he decided to share his encouraging words with a beautiful correctional officer. Spending time with her had been the highlight of his days. But when tragedy hit, Rodney turned to his best friend Jay for help only to get his trust violated.
