Wesdeacon

Wesdeacon answers a distress call in an area of dead space known only as the black river. A family cries out for help as they are besieged by the Dalkran, an ancient dark god of the abyss. As Wesdeacon leads his crew into battle against the Dalkran and its minions, it becomes clear that he's been preparing for this confrontation,displaying new powers and even brandishing a new weapon called the Sryxx.
