What Christian Living Is All About

Some people believe that the Bible is outdated and irrelevant. How can a book written thousands of years ago be applicable to life in the twenty-first century? But that could not be further from the truth, as the Word of God meets every spiritual need of every person. The letter of James shows us what Christian living is all about. Rubel Shelly currently serves as president of Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he is also professor of Philosophy and Religion. A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Ph.D. in philosophy, he worked with the Woodmont Hills congregation in Nashville, Tennessee for twenty-seven years, as well as taught classes at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Tennessee State University. He is the author of numerous books, including Book-by-Book Study of the Bible. Shelly and his wife, Myra, have three grown children who have given them nine wonderful grandchildren to love and spoil.
