Aibak Khan, the brilliant son of a king's servant, who plays the flute in the village, falls in love with Maharaja's beautiful daughter, Chandra Mukhi, who was born of noble lineage.
The love story of Aibak Khan and Chandramukhi, also known as 'Mahrukh', begins in pre-independence India during the British Raj and Maharajas era. It spans over twenty-five years and eventually leads to the union of Aibak Khan's daughter, Gul-e-Lala, and the son of his master, Humayun Zafar.
