Put-upon MI5 officer Tim Lemon is fed up with being handed low priority tasks. The rest of his team, under brusquely efficient Helen Stride, concentrates on the critical business of pre-empting jihadist terror. Tim, however, is sidetracked with an investigation into a hedge fund manager and his Russian oligarch business partner. But Tim and Helen are increasingly thrown together as they unravel a conspiracy of cataclysmic proportions and events mount to a heart-stopping climax.
