Blood Conflicts

Sudan has been plagued by conflict for several decades, with various rebel groups fighting against the government for political power, resource control, and regional autonomy. The conflict intensified in 2003 when rebel groups in Darfur took up arms against the Sudanese government, leading to a brutal counterinsurgency campaign by government forces and allied militias. The violence in Darfur has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, displacement of millions, and accusations of genocide and war crimes.
