Cutting The String

Having weathered the first assault by the mighty Council with the help of hastily acquired allies, Earth is hobbled by infighting among her leaders. Fighting a two-front war is taxing the military and civilian assests of both Earth and her colonies. When the Council sends their main warfleet to sol, will her internal bickering doom her or will a new player on the field prove to be the saviors they need? Or do they represent the end of freedom for all humanity?
