Sheyna Namear has been left to fend for herself on the streets of Symbor...

...Until she decided to steal from the White Tower.

It's then she finds out the mistress of the tower is the one who put her on the streets in the first place.
Sheyna is special and destined to be a magic wielder. She is taken into the White Tower and trained as an apprentice by the master wielder and headmistress, Enowene.

She is happy to finally have a place where she feels she belongs.

But something is not quite right. Sheyna constantly feels like she is being watched, her roommate hates her, and a mysterious shadow hides in the darkness just outside her window.
