Dragon's-Eye View

Tyber has never been all that impressed with dragons. He's too busy with more important things, like trying to keep his family fed. But when he's caught stealing, he's presented with a choice: join the King's Royal Academy of Dragon Riders or go to prison. Which would you choose, right? The king's war had taken a turn for the worse and new recruits are desperately needed. So much so that a bonus is offered to those who complete the first round of training. At least joining the academy would be a way for Tyber to help his family. It sounds like a golden opportunity, but first Tyber must face the mysteries of the academy, endure its trials, and learn to serve a king he blames for his family's poverty. None of these tasks, however, will be as difficult as winning the loyalty of a young dragon named Rius and accepting the wisdom of dragons.
