feral

The poems in feral explore the raw survival state experienced after several major losses over a seven year period & across several locales in the U.S. from the deserts of the west to the swamps of the south. As the author hits the road with little to their name besides what can fit in their car, they seek love, companionship, adventure, & find themselves barely grasping reality. A little funny, a little sad, but nothing can be taken too seriously. Stylistically, the lettering of unexpected holy places, people, & animals stands capitalized against the lowercase uncertainty of being. It is human meeting their animal state: frustrated, angry, distrustful, lustful, hopeful, & often numb.
