Heartlands of Eurasia

Based on an exploration of the heartland debate, Heartlands of Eurasia examines how the vision of the "pivotal" significance of a vast expanse of land finds its echoes in contemporary narratives, yet is also reinterpreted in creative ways to reflect contemporary political dynamics. In its examination of new methodological terminologies dealing with classical geopolitical narratives, it makes unique contributions both to the study of the region and toward the understanding of geopolitics.
