Salvatore Oxenheart has reforged Solaricism, Blade Forged of the First Sunrise, and dealt a decisive blow to the Houses of Miderochi. As he joins the Debutante at the head of House Faunoticus, their superiority is unquestioned. But greater struggles loom - and the power of the Houses may not be enough to counter them.

Salvatore still needs to find help for his friend, Alistair of the Immaculate Butlers, but when Kovoulek forces appear on Miderochi soil, he is forced into action. As their enemies' invasion grows bolder, Salvatore and his allies must lead the assault on Kovoulek. But while they move against the City of Cities, another enemy prepares to strike.
In the battle to come, one must kill or be kill - and Salvatore will rise to his greatest challenge yet.
