Madison Kleigh and the Onyx Stone

Madison Kleigh's father is taking a trip to Mars on NASA's newest spacecraft, the Excalibur. Overall, everybody is excited about the mission; however, Madison is having trouble coping. Her father's mission thrusts her out of her comfort zone into a situation where she has no control over the outcome. As she struggles with her father's absence, a mysterious package arrives containing an extraordinary stone that Madison quickly learns has a unique power. At first, the stone is a distraction from her worries about her father until it becomes the center of attention at NASA. Madison learns the secret of her father's real mission, and the stone's ability becomes the only means of his safe return. That is if unscrupulous agents working for the corrupted leaders of other countries don't intercept it first.
