About No More Nightmares

Nightmares are dreams that are often vivid and realistic, and children may wake up with a real feeling that something bad might happen. No More Nightmares uses storytelling and rhyme to create a supportive space in which a child can face these nightmares. In No More Nightmares the child doesn't believe their mum understands how scary nightmares are. The child is sharing all different types of nightmares with his mum, however, whilst talking his mum wanders off down the hall. The child has grand ideas of the superpowers which his mum might give him, but when she returns, she has the box of craft. Now the child is really confused, and after his mum blows ten kisses into an old shoe box, he thinks to run! In the end the child doesn't run, deciding instead to humour his mum and join in the craft. The child and his mum end up having lots of fun putting the nightmares right where they belong, in the SCARY BOX. Before the story ends, the child has gotten rid of their nightmares. An excellent book for children who need a solution for nightmares at bedtime.
