About Research Productivity of the Scientists

The analysis of scientific productivity and research output is a common practice for research institutions. For measuring the research productivity of the CSIR scientists, bibliometric analysis has been conducted by the author on the publications indexed in the SCOPUS database. The study has been conducted among the seven CSIR Laboratories of Northeast and Eastern India. The name of the laboratories is North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat; Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata; Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata; Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar; Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur; National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur and Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), Dhanbad. The study has analyzed the number of papers published by the institutions and also discusses the highest citations received during the period. It has identified the year-wise publications, source-wise publications, country-wise publications, document type-wise publications, most cited authors, and degree of collaboration etc.
