River of Lies

As you venture across the Purple Planet, multiple lightning strikes streak the sky; within moments you are caught in a torrential downpour. A great crashing sluice of water forms around you. Lightning strikes again, you see several ethereal kith beckoning to you. The Ghost River of Varnasu would claim you! A great zephyr from the storm-wracked sky flings you into the waters and as you struggle against the mighty rapids, you wonder if the legendary deluge will truly grant everlasting life or is it just a - River of Lies!?
