Rodeo Rookies

About Rodeo Rookies

Hey there, coloring book fans! I want to share a little story with you about where I grew up. I'm from the small town of Okmulgee, Oklahoma where every year we had a really special event called the Black Rodeo. People came from all over the country to see it and even to participate in it. The Black Rodeo was like nothing else. It was a time when everyone got together to celebrate our heritage and culture. There were horses and cowboys and cowgirls, and lots of fun things to do. It was a time when we could all come together and have a great time. As a child, I loved going to the Black Rodeo. I would watch the cowboys and cowgirls riding their horses, bull riding competitions, barrel racing, and more, it was so exciting! And there were all kinds of competitions for kids too, like Mutton Bustin', where you try to ride a sheep like it's a horse. Now that I'm an Adult who designs coloring books, I want to share some of that excitement with all of you. That's why I created a coloring book full of cute pictures of African American children some riding horses and participating in rodeo events, just like we used to do back home. I hope you enjoy coloring in these pages as much as I enjoyed creating them. And maybe, just maybe, they'll inspire you to dream big and have your own exciting adventures someday. Let's have fun with our Rodeo Rookies and start coloring!
