Halley Makillen and her fellow researchers decoded the secrets of genetic mutation and therapeutic human cloning, although the victory was short-lived when Halley realised someone kept the experiment alive. They were thrust into a new reality, accepting responsibility of the clones but they must stay hidden. They should never have lived.

As Rex grew within the lab, he emerged into the whirs of teenagehood; lust, leadership and a hunger for answers. Rex and the clones needed to know what was beyong the lab but how far would they go for freedom?

Meanwhile, the researcher's relationship crumbled when secret agendas were unveiled and the truth of the experiment was revealed. Halley needed to get to the bottom of it but whom could she trust?
