As famine threatens to ignite war, a young boy's night terrors launch Brooklyn Evers on a quest to find the boy's mother, her own missing sister. A task complicated by Brooklyn's fugitive status and the strange powers growing inside her. Hounded by supernatural bounty hunters, she forms an uneasy alliance with the demon Belial.
