The Edge of Nothing and Everything

Nita's father and brother weren't dead, but technically, they weren't alive either. Amelia was still screaming when the Nomad station wagon plowed to a stop in the deep yellow sand. Two large moons hovered near the horizon in front of them as the sun went down on the mountains behind. To get back to Joules' home planet, Gafcon-49, they would have to figure out how to fix the Jump Starter. Blackie didn't want to alarm the others, but he suspected they were being followed. Nita was shocked to discover she had been misled about the death of her father and brother, and she intended to do something about it. Mark, Blackie, Wayne, Joules, and Amelia insisted they were going with her. Unknown to them, a centuries-old dispute raged throughout the universe and before long they not only knew about it, they were right in the middle of it. Every bit of their intelligence and luck would be needed if they were to survive. Wayne was sure something weird was about to happen - again - and it did. When things spiraled out of control, Mark and Nita had to make a difficult choice. Afterward, they would all wonder if they made the right decision.
