The Far Side of the Night

The author of "The Art Of Hearing Heartbeats" returns with a story in which a couple's son is kidnapped when the family visit China, and soon repatriated, but with the powerful kidnappers now wanting the child back, taking control of the infrastructure and local authorities to cast a net that the family must try to evade.
