The Galaxy Chasers

A disturbance is discovered thirteen billion light years from Earth. A group of travelers set out to the beginning of time itself to investigate it. A young autistic super genius has developed the means of jumping galaxies. It has never been achieved before and the travelers are uncertain exactly what they will face. What could possibly go wrong in a scenario based on this premise?
