It's been two months since Rune Leveau, aka Anna Masterson, survived the machinations of the Kodiak corporation. Chicago never sleeps, especially when the Masterson Files, the computer program with the impossible ability to cast spells, is still out there. The rest of the corporate overlords won't let that lie, and Rune is the key to that power.
To make matters worse, the Magic Guild wants a word with the Finder while trouble in the form of the Faerie King comes calling at her bar. Now, it seems like every faction in the city is converging on Rune, trapping her in a crossfire of bullets and magic, hitmen and wizards.
Just the right moment for St. Benedict, the deadly and handsome cyber-spy, to sweep back into Rune's life.
