Try and Other Stories is a collection of science fiction and fantasy short stories set on strange and different worlds. Yet they tell of ordinary individuals caught in circumstances outside of their control. Despite closely imagined distant locales and often fantastic events, the humanity of the characters and their thoughts, hopes and dreams remains the focus: An ineffective soldier in a world completely deprived of technology by alien tourists who want to hunt their exotic prey without interruption.
