A giant octopus attacks a film crew in the Arizona desert and a wrangler is killed.
A rattlesnake the size of the freight train smashes vehicles and devours pedestrians.
A tarantula attacks a singing cowboy at a San Gabriel Valley movie ranch.
The attacks turn out to be mass hallucinations perpetrated by an angry circus performer who is partnered with a woman who wants to reboot her father's anti-American terrorist organization.
To achieve their plans, they

Vernon and Tenacity take on the the devil behind the attacks, and their comic-book characters join in the battles. Along the way, a legendary television cowboy joins the cartoonists to fight for justice and the rights of all Americans.
