"We're Coming"

Hat Creek, California had become the home of SETI (the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and early on they received what was deemed "the Wow" signal. Everyone was excited. The original "Wow Signal" was assumed to be possibly sent from an Alien civilization. As a result, the SETI staff waited for decades to receive a second message, but a repeated signal never arrived. Then, a new signal arrived, one that they called the "WOW2" signal. Unfortunately the new signal carried with it an ominous message, one that implied that whoever sent it were 'on the way'. It smacked of 'an invasion'. If a full scale invasion was eminent... scientists wondered why an aggressive Alien race would feel the need to announce their intentions? Despite us human beings trying to anticipate the Aliens next move, there was only one way to respond, and we had to do it BEFORE they arrived on Earth. Maybe mankind still had a chance if we acted quick enough?
