Wormwood Dawn

After Max mysteriously disappears chasing a strange creature, Dan and Jake go in search of him. They find themselves transported to another dimension where the Wormwood Comet has impacted the Earth and initiated a nuclear winter. To make matters worse, the comet's passing has caused a catastrophic situation that will ultimately destroy the alternate Earth upon which they have arrived. With Max's help, they need to find a mysterious girl who is the key to interdimensional travel. With their presence, the inhabitants of the alter Earth hope to return with the trio to our dimension, ensuring their own survival. Strangely, after Max's alter personna dies, he begins to absorb the man's memories and experience, which may turn out to be good news for a familiar face that they find in the doomed dimension.Back on our Earth, the rest of the group struggles to stay alive with their new companion until the boys return. The mutants and other creatures have begun to exhibit new traits, and a scientist whom Eric meets may have the explanation for what's going on. But, the new companion is baffled by things that the group has already seen.
